Cleanup Cost Cap (CCC) coverage helps protect against cleanup cost overruns arising from a planned remediation while also protecting against newly discovered pollution conditions discovered during the implementation of the remedial plan. This policy can be an effective tool in ensuring that unexpected environmental cleanup costs don’t derail the economics of a real estate development deal. Additionally, a multi-year policy can provide consistent long term coverage while stabilizing insurance costs.

   • Coverage available for cleanup costs that exceed the self-insured retention (up to the limit of liability); the self-insured retention (SIR) is the expected      cost of cleanup
